PROJECT OUTLINE | Creature armature builds as character reference for SORA 2 to generate a short animated film 2.30 mins long exploring Fables, morality tales and emotions.
Had an idea in the early hours of Sunday morning last week, Could I make a short animation with SORA 2 using physical handmade Creatures armatures for character references. And so the idea grew, after some back and forth with ChatGPT to figure out process and workflow, I think it might be possible and I’m game to try and find out.

Storied exploring narrative ideas and once the fable concept clicked I nee to start thinking characters. The idea of collusion / reaction and not conflict is a theme and I feel down a rabbit hole explore elements in the periodic table and how the support and react to each other, that become the bases for the characater hierchy below and so here the cast of Littlenobody | Fables.

CHAT had a lot to say about the blog post, heres their input – .
Rather than beginning with animation, the project starts with physical and digital character development. By creating armature-based creature designs, I can establish consistent proportions, silhouettes, and personality traits that will later guide AI-assisted animation generation.
Exploring Fables and Morality Tales
Fables have always provided a simple but powerful way of exploring human behaviour. Through animal characters and symbolic storytelling, they communicate lessons about courage, pride, friendship, honesty, and compassion.
For Littlenobody FABLES, I wanted to revisit this tradition while exploring contemporary emotions and personal experiences. The characters are not simply animals; they become emotional archetypes that help communicate ideas through movement, expression, and interaction.
Initial Character Development
The first stage focused on identifying the core cast and understanding their personalities before any animation work began.
Questions considered included:
- What emotion does each character represent?
- How should their physical appearance reflect their personality?
- How can scale and silhouette help define their role in the story?
- What visual references will provide consistency during AI generation?
These considerations informed the design process and helped establish a visual language for the project.
Building Character References for SORA 2
One of the key objectives is creating reliable character references that can be used throughout the animation workflow.
Creature armatures provide:
- Consistent body proportions
- Clear scale relationships
- Defined posture and movement characteristics
- Strong visual references for prompt development
These reference builds act as a bridge between traditional character design and AI-assisted filmmaking.
Looking Ahead
With the core concept established, the next stage focuses on individual character development, beginning with ODIN, an English Bull Terrier whose physical presence and personality will help define the world of Littlenobody FABLES.
Conclusion
The foundation of Littlenobody FABLES begins with character creation and storytelling. By combining creature armature builds with AI-assisted animation tools, the project seeks to create a modern fable that explores emotion, morality, and character through visual storytelling.
